When were we in Lisbon?
We were in Lisbon twice during Lisbon’s winter and spring, a quieter time with fewer tourists, and it felt more like an “authentic” experience of the city. The weather was relatively cooler but still warm enough that we rarely needed a coat, long sleeves maybe, but not a coat and it was quite comfortable for exploring Lisbon’s historic neighborhoods, museums, and local cafes. Oh sure, we had some rain but it was still warmer than Oregon in February and March! Despite it being the off-season, we still enjoyed the city’s charm, finding it a great time to visit without the usual crowds. This timing also provided an opportunity to experience Lisbon’s indoor attractions and enjoy the local culture at a relaxed pace. There were literally no crowds anywhere when we were there in February. But noticeably busier when we went back in March.
