Our Travel Experiences, Your Budget-Friendly Guide To Living Abroad
In 2022, we decided to move to another country; we just didn’t know which one. But we didn’t let that stop us. We turned our search for an affordable new home country into a worldwide adventure and our stories into this travel blog.
Instead of just picking a country from our online research, we decided to visit the places we thought held the most probability based on our ideal weather, affordability and various other nuances that appeal to us… so in 2023 we sold 99.9999% of our stuff and became full-time travelers, testing out different destinations firsthand.
While we thought we’d find ‘the one’ quickly, we’ve discovered that slow traveling really allows us to get a better feel for the places we visit. Most days, we’re just doing what we’ve always done— making ourselves a home, working on projects, cooking, and running errands, wherever home might be at the moment. Sometimes that means checking out local activities and visiting museums and historical sites; other times, it means finding out which local restaurant has the best pizza or empanadas and which grocery store sells peanut butter.
This life isn’t always glamorous; but it’s ours—and we’re here to share with you what we learn.
Whether we eventually settle down and find a door to call home or continue living abroad on a budget, one country at a time, we hope our travel blog helps you discover the possibilities for your next stage of life.
